Smoking in the Spokane Area
Posted On 07/29/2009 18:01:38

Spokane, Washington smokers are hurting after the newest smoking ban was put in place. Just in time for Summer area smokers were put on the chopping block once more with a ban in parks and on city run golf courses. Not to mention the previous laws, no smoking in an establishment and no smoking within 25 feet of doors, windows and ventilation systems.

Well, we have a solution to your worries. Electronic Cigarettes! These devices deliver nicotine to you just like a real cigarette. However, there are no additives, chemicals (other then nicotine), smoke or tobacco. These small yet effective e-cigarettes can be used anywhere, at work, home, public transportation, parks, golf courses and even airplanes.

The best part for smokers is that you save money. The start up cost can be anywhere from $70 - $180 but once you have your e-cigarette you are set. Each cartridge is roughly equivalent to 15-20 normal cigarettes and the cost per cartridge is generally about $1.50. When purchasing cartridges you can get them in a 5 pack or 10 pack. Assuming you get the 10 pack, you will end up paying $15.00 for the equivalent to a carton of regular cigarettes.

E-Cigarettes, Facts Proven
Posted On 07/29/2009 17:56:22
It's official, well in New Zealand, electronic cigarettes are healthier for the average smoker. It doesn't matter if you smoke 5 cigarettes a day or 2 packs, you can save yourself from toxins and all the negative aspects of smoking.

The study shows:
  • The heat generated from an e-cigarette is 5-10% of the heat generated from a conventional cigarette.
  • Over 100 times more toxic chemicals are emitted with a conventional cigarette then with an electronic cigarette.
  • None of the 70+ chemicals in normal cigarettes are inhaled or emitted when using an e-cigarette.
  • Emissions tests on both types show 100's of times less with electronic cigarettes.
The finding from these tests and studies were provided at the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco conference in April.

Electronic Cigarettes ARE Better!
Posted On 07/29/2009 17:55:22

You hear it everywhere, all the additives in cigarettes are harmful and deadly. Rounding out the top of the list are:

Acetic Acid, found in floor wipes
Acetanisole, an ingredient found in perfumes
Toluene, used in dynamite and gasoline
Formaldehyde, used to preserve dead bodies
Gerniol, an ingredient in pesticides
Acetone, nail polish and paint remover
Hydrazine, an additive in rocket fuel
Cadmium, found in batteries
Cinnamaldyhyde, ingredient in pet repellents
Methanol, an additive in antifreeze
Urea and Ammonia, both found in human urine and sweat
Naphthalene, found in mothballs
Sodium Hydroxide, ingredient in hair removal products
Benzene, Arsenic and Cyanide, are all poisons

For many smokers the facts and scare tactics used by medical professionals and those who want everyone to quit smoking don't work. But, if you are concerned about what you put in your body, yet you aren't ready or willing to quit... Try the new electronic cigarettes. These devices look and feel like traditional cigarettes but save you money and protect you from harmful additives.
