Just wondering what you all thought about all the various schools being closed or open? I feel that with all the buildings caving in...we should wait until some of this snow mels off the roofs and make sure that all the schools are cleared off. As far as the roads go for walking to school? If it means saftey, then summer break should be cut short and we should not send the kids to school.

 

 

I drive my boys to school so the roads are not a problem for us but if my kids were walking to the school or bus I would not let them. The side roads are so icy and I think it would be unsafe just standing on corner waiting for a bus. Maybe the schools could come with some $$ to make covered bus stops at some problem locations like the city bus has? Maybe they should make Christmas/Winter break longer from now on? That would be easier for all of the parents that are working to plan for daycare. At Skyview they have a CCS program and its year around school. I think there should be more options for that. Anyway I guess after this snow we will be more prepared and have more ideas for next year.

It's hard to say what should be done, but now that our town is getting back to narmal, I hope that everyone has been safe and will count thier blessings.
