Merchants sign up for the program absolutely free. We just ask that the merchants provide at least a 15% discount on a service or merchandise. The offer can and should be creative. So in effect the merchant is paying for the privilege of being in the program by the offer they have given. It is important to note that the card can be used over and over again so be sure the offer is enticing for the customers but not so much that it hurts your business. It is also important to note that the discounts that are being offered greatly increase the value of the card and make it easy for the Non-Profits and Charities to sell the cards. This is a LOCAL program for LOCAL businesses and LOCAL Charities. There is no "catch". We are not selling you anything, there are no "hidden fees".The duration which you participate in the program is completely up to you as the merchants. 

The program is very simple. Non-Profits commit to a number of cards and re-sell them at a significant margin. With an active sales force it would be easy to make a large margin. It is important to note that many of the merchants in the network are willing and able to be the sales force for the various Non-Profits re-selling the cards. There are many aspects of selling cards that needs to be discussed in person. 

The card has a significant value. They sell for $25.00 which is a complete write off as a donation to a non-profit. Many of the discounts being offered are more than the cost of the card just with the first use of the card. In some cases if you need a service listed you could be several hundred dollars ahead just by purchasing the card. The cards are good for a year. We grew up in Spokane and love everything about this town. We will continue to add quality merchants to the program. We have started several social networks surrounding this program. We have a facebook fan page for the cards and we utilize our primary fan page to drive traffic to the Grapevine Discount card site. We have also established an exclusive group of merchants and non-profits on facebook that is truly the who's who of Spokane.
