Most of the reasons people buy a home (or homes)depending on your financial abilities is for emotional reasons.  You want to own a home. 

Certainly there are financial incentives currently in place and new ones on the fore front for Buyers to consider as they mill over the inventory of homes in the market.  As a Real Estate Broker, I get a chance to see homes every day, its actually a lot of fun.  There are some wonderful homes out there and some really great prices...(good buys and some great buys)
