My blog this morning is in honor of John Stubbs of Mac Productions. Manuela Tantawy, The Staging Fashionista, featured John in her newsletter this month for his ongoing efforts to end hunger and homelessness in America, but Mr. Stubbs does so much more. He also tirelessly maintains the website Survivors and victims of Tragedy . You see, John's brother, Eric Stubbs, was murdered in 2001 at the tender age of 15-murdered and dumped on someone's porch. John had to identify his body(John i... Read More

Last Saturday, I decided I wanted to venture out to the Spokane home & Yard show at the fairgrounds. With all four kids and my husband in tow, we made our way through the main building. The kids only like to go because they know that most of the booths have candy. I wanted to go for business and personal reasons. I wanted to network and get business cards and brochures from business that I may need to call in the future for customers and to have these names handy in case a c... Read More
I met Dennis McCarthy from Lazarus House at a recent Friends Of Kevin networking event. Were it not for the shred of class I have, there would have been visions of me barreling on top of people to make my way across the crowded room to meet Dennis. You see, I knew two things: I am passionate about fighting to end childhood hunger in America and have been looking for a way to get more involved locally. Dennis was representing Lazarus House, which, at the time, I understood to be a loc... Read More
Christine is my oldest daughter, and she turned 26 years old at 12:21 P.M. on February 07, 2011. My Stino, as I affectionately call her, is an amazing woman in many ways. She's bright, artistic, gracious, polite, organized, caring, loving, and generous. For the last year she has been battling to gain permanent custody of her young niece and nephew(my grandchildren), Alaric(three years old), and Lacy(two years old). On Tuesday, February 08, 2011, I received a phone... Read More

At the home and Yard show this year three or four farmers came forward to introduce themselves at the Home and Yard show as being people trained by Dr Carey Reams. Things like this make me think about how small our world is at times. They were delighted to see that we were really promoting the use of a refractometer as a means of evaluating the quality of plants grown. We made up a brochure with a brix chart to hand out to people. A lot of people had refract... Read More
