Feeling the Love...of Christmas Decorations
Posted On 11/30/2011 17:16:12 by kandkflorals
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from K and K Floral and Design!

As many of you know, I love to wrap Christmas gifts and decorate for the holiday season. Handmade bows, gift bags, gift boxes-I love it all, and I spent a great deal of time decorating packages for my loved ones. Sending out Christmas cards? Not so much-it's all in the gift giving to me. Following are a few of my most recent designs for the holidays. Many are available in my Online Shop

What about rafting for people who prefer a quieter ride?  It does exist, in the form of scenic river floats.  Many people find a day on the river quite enjoyable, whether a wet and wild white water adventure or a serene scenic float.   White Water Rafting on Washington's Wenatchee River  ... Resurrection of a Ship, Birth of a Company
Posted On 07/11/2011 00:02:42 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
One small ship cruise line goes under.  Most people would have seen their ships as fodder for the scrap yard.  Dan Blanchard of American Safari Cruises saw them as the means to start a new company.  With the complete overhaul of two ships formerly of Glacier Bay, InnerSea Discoverieswas born, a small-ship cruise line with a taste for adventure and exploration of wild places.   The first time I saw the Wilderness Discoverer she sat high and dry in a shipyard in Seattle.   Jun 06 Outdoor Bathtub Suite ~ Vision Complete Kelly Do you remember that old Moen Faucet commercial, where the couple goes to a architect with a kitchen sink faucet and tells him to design a house around it? Well that is kind of what happen here.  I have had this beautiful cast iron claw foot tub for about a year now.  On Memorial Day, while enjoying the day outside with Monte and the kids decorating our vintage tents.  I made a comment to Mon... Feeling the Love...of Mr. Stubbs
Posted On 06/02/2011 08:12:05 by kandkflorals
My blog this morning is in honor of John Stubbs of Mac Productions. Manuela Tantawy, The Staging Fashionista, featured John in her newsletter this month for his ongoing efforts to end hunger and homelessness in America, but Mr. Stubbs does so much more. He also tirelessly maintains the website Survivors and victims of Tragedy . You see, John's brother, Eric Stubbs, was murdered in 2001 at the tender age of 15-murdered and dumped on someone's porch. John had to identify his body(John i... Read More

Planning a Trip to Australia
Posted On 05/29/2011 20:48:24 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
Before heading across the ocean for a vacation to Australia, many questions need answers.  Start with the flight.  What matters most, price, length of the journey, or stops along the way? Research flights to find the one best suited.  If price matters most, the cheapest flights often stop several times and take well over 20 hours from start to finish.  The most direct flights may take as little as 14 – 16 hours, but could cost quite a lot.
When plans include s... Read More

It's All About The Coffee: A Guest Post By Katie Wilcox

By calling yourself a snob, of any sorts, i.e.: a beer snob, wine snob or coffee snob, you may think you are limiting yourself to only the best when the truth of the matter is, you are just limiting yourself. Have your favorites but don't cut yourself off from the thrill of unexplored territory. I am guilty of this unsavory crime. For years I would only drink Thomas Hammer coffee. And I would go out of my way... Read More

What Exactly Are You Planning To Do With That Dollar?
Posted On 03/27/2011 15:26:29 by CookieCentral
There you are standing with wallet in hand and you notice this lonely dollar, possibly change from this mornings coffee or part of a growing collection of dollars acquired by the trickling of funds throughout the week.  Now stop for a moment and ask yourself; Where will this dollar go?  Maybe a convenience store hotdog, maybe a sinful treat off the illustrious dollar menu or maybe it will get tucked away with a pile of other dollars and eventually spent on something... Two Countries, One Island: Saint Martin/Sint Maarten
Posted On 03/06/2011 11:41:48 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
Sint Maarten/Saint Martin, two names for one rather small island.  This now peaceful Caribbean island has a long and bloody history. Violence began long before the day Columbus first sighted the island in 1493 on November 11, the holy day of Saint Martin of Tours.  He claimed the island for Spain, naming it Isla de San Martin.  Throughout history, the island changed hands many times between Spain, France, Holland, Britain and... Jaden's Journey: Java Hut Espresso

As you can imagine I get a call from Mark just about every day giving me updates on what's going on with The Extreme Team so I can post stuff and junk....
Today's phone call from Mark went something like this....
"Hey Monte, I just helped Dave from Uccello's coffee bag 170 bags of coffee"
On any other day I would have just thought....."well, Mark got another job doing something with coffee"
